stamp records delve into the past for their next release, giving a new lease of life to one of swayzak s least characteristic and most sought-after tracks. swayzak are true heroes of the uk underground, having clocked numerous seminal releases in the late 90 s and early 00 s straddling the grey area between house and techno. disco dub plate volume 2 - originally out in 2000 - was an obvious anomaly in the duo s discography, that has managed to forge a path of its own amongst a completely different crowd to swayzak s usual disciples. one cut from that ep, stronger love , is a carefully arranged marriage between a certain pair of quintessential aor darlings and the soul voice of the 80 s. can we be more specific? no can do...it shouldn t really work, but somehow it does! it s been caned by many a balearic dj over the years, including mark seven who included it in his mythical originals compilation, where it holds its ground amongst other balearic heavyweights. as an added bonus for this 2016 edition we re treated to two brand new mixes ! frank agrario teases in bits of the original making for his chunkier version that is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, while brun (1/2 of swayzak) delivers a bang up-to-date dub that keeps its elements to the bare minimum, building into a deep hypnotic house chugger.

when we started heist a few years back, our idea was to give a stage to talent in a same way as we have had a helping hand by the labels that have supported us from the beginning. therefore, i’s our pleasure to share this release with you by newcomers ouer, a berlin based duo with only a handful of tracks out so far on their self released debut last year. their approach to producing is very much jam based, and with a compact collection of synths, drum machines and a fair level of distortion, they succeed in creating their own sound with hints of classic electronic music from chicago and detroit. theres a nice mix of energy on the whole ep, the ascent being the most driving track of the package. fans of classics mcde tracks will love show off with its dreamy dx7 style chords and cracking acid lines. move over feels like a jam session that was way too much fun with some lovely solo work on the synths, whereas mess around goes down in similar free-ride style on the synths and again, has some lovely sampling going on. an impressive ep were just all too happy to have on our label. sincerely yours, lars & maarten

amin peck is an electronic studio project, contaminated by the new wave from u.k. like most ’80s electronic bands. amin-peck walked a fine line between disco and minimal wave throughout the course of the early 1980s, oftentimes incorporating shameless pop melodies and avant-garde leanings. amin peck were an italian band leaded by giorgio fioroni (aka george fyron, arrangements, production, vocals) with leonard parker (arrangments, keyboards) and max marne (production). incredible but true, amin peck started as hard rock guitar band in the 70s... and becoming one of the best examples of italo disco. this limited edition it contains full-length versions plus uncut audio material (a2) tracked down during tape restoration. as the d edge label clocks up release number 24, it turns to the phil hinter ensemble for a fantastic three track package that is filled with fresh house vibes. phil hinter ensemble is a joint project by phil s main pillars philogresz and german simon hinter. they have ties with labels like their own phil, love unlimited vibes and of course d-edge. previous eps have gone down well around the world and simon hinter s smart grooves and sample based fill-ins blends with the wombastic bass and shivering synth lines of philogresz perfectly. up first is the owl, a squelchy, synthetic house track with lively drums and chords and magical trumpets all making for a party starting track. it is perfectly arranged and expertly musical, unlike much of today s plastic and sample heavy sounds. in the air then gets even more playful with glossy synth stabs, rumbling bass and diva vocals all bouncing along in a charismatic style that is full of colour. struggle then gets intimate and final with scurrying little percussive sounds, burst of afro vocal, down low sine waves and icy snares all making for a perfectly seductive minimal techno brew
